Feeling Festive for Fall

New seasons new reasons to get creative! Over the weekend I had lots of free time to frolic around the house and work on some fun projects! One of which was making a reef. I was surprised to find a large grapevine reef for only $4.99 at Michael’s crafts; I used my 40% off coupon and scored it for just $3.00 + tax. I found some silk flowers on sale for 50% off and got two for about $7.00. I also had a few large pinecones and glitter in my craft stash. The end result….

I think it came out great! I love it! My husband suggested I snap a few shots after he put in great work painting the door “falling leaves” orange.  MJ also allowed me to take a few pics of her while I allowed her to play in dirt! LOL  Enjoy the season!

Labor of Love

Congratulation to my lovely cousin Amanda Allen better know as Mrs. James. Over the Labor Day weekend I captured great memories as the two exchanged vows during their lovely traditional wedding. All smiles and smooches I'm sure these two will have lots of wedded bliss in their future! XOXO

#closingthegates

Love Love Love this girl! The soon to be Mrs. Gates is getting married! My long time friend with her HUGE personality and even BIGGER heart had a bea-u-ti-ful Southern Charm themed bridal shower this past weekend in Hampton, Virginia. The vibrant blue sky's kissing the pier set a perfect backdrop to celebrate the bride-to-be! The food was unspeakably good! I had too much fun- but was able to capture a few good shots! Can't wait for the wedding!

Happy Birthday

When you think about it- turning 238 years old is kinda young for a country. I mean sure America officially declared it's independence from Great Brittan in 1776; after about 275 years of conquest- but the reality is the USA is a baby compared to other major countries. Nevertheless- it's a celebration! My family and I enjoyed making 4th of July memories! Friday we saw a pretty good fireworks show at Knightdale Station. It was the cities first annual celebration and lacked no support from it's citizens. Saturday the fam packed up and headed to Mudcat Stadium in Zebulon and it was a blast! Nothing says Happy Birthday America better than baseball and fireworks. The game was great and the show was amazing- mainly because our seats were perfect for watching the sky!

I'm always excited when I have the opportunity to create something. Although I know very well Easter is not about bunny rabbits and Easter eggs; I couldn't resist making MJ's first Easter basket. She enjoyed it but I'd say I had more fun making it!

a. Pat Rabbit (Peter's wife) not to be confused with "Pet" Rabbit

b. Edible Easter Grass :Imported from Germany fun find

c. Bundle of Joy ...well at least a chocolate surprise

d. Complete (pink bow, glittered eggs, chocolate candy, edible grass and Pat Bunny)

e. Plush Home

I spend about $8 for all the items excluding the large customized bunny courtesy of MJ's grandmother and the recycled white basket courtesy of MJ's other grandmother  *Gotta love those Grands
